I put this little guide together as a way to field most of the questions I get on a regular basis. I’m happy to go into more detail or clarify anything for you, just use the contact form below.
When we first meet, either online or in person, I like to get to know a bit about you and what you have in mind for your shoot. If you don’t have a clue what you want, no worries, I’m chock full of ideas, and there are a lot of different things we can accomplish in the studio. I just mainly need to get a sense of your comfort level and personality so I know how to direct the flow of the session. Some ladies see this as an opportunity to let loose and do a full range from lingerie to full nude. Others are a bit more reserved. Either way is fine by me. This is all about you and creating images that make you feel beautiful and sexy.
After we’ve chatted for a bit and I have a good idea of how I can meet your needs, next we need to schedule your session. All I require up front is the session fee of $400. If you choose to pre-pay for one of the 2 package options, the session fee is reduced or waived depending on which option you choose. In the meantime between now and your shoot we’ll likely have several discussions about outfit ideas and little details. I find this helps you feel more at ease and prepared in the time leading up to your session and I encourage it. I understand it can be exciting and somewhat nerve-wracking, especially if this is your very first time, so please give me a holler any time you want to chat about any aspect of your session. That’s what I’m here for, and it’s part of the full service experience.
Your Photo Shoot
My sessions are always a very laid back experience. I don’t set a time limit because I don’t like to feel rushed when I’m trying to create, but a typical session will run about 3 hours on average, and it goes by super fast. I have a nice sound system and we can listen to anything you like. You’re also welcome to have a cocktail or 2 if you’re so inclined. Like I say, my sessions are very laid back. It takes time to get things flowing and for you to get comfortable in front of the camera. That’s why I like to start with a little warm up shoot to give you that opportunity to find your groove before we really get things started. After that it’s generally smooth sailing while we work through ideas and outfits. I’ll guide you through everything and give you posing suggestions and feedback, but my goal is mainly to put you in the right frame of mind to naturally bring out your personality and genuine expressions. Once we’ve done all our ideas, or we’re completely exhausted – whichever comes first – we’ll wrap it up and have a nice variety of images to sort through.
Review and Order
Directly after your shoot we head into the office to relax and load up all the images and review them together. I have a system that makes the whole process go pretty quickly. Basically the idea is to cull them down to a core group of the best of the best. Anything that doesn’t blow your skirt up gets tossed and we end up with a very solid group of compelling images. From those, you’ll make your final selection. If you’ve already pre-paid for your package but want to add extra images or some wall art to your order I can walk you through those options and figure out a solution that works well for you. Once that’s all sorted out you’ll pay for your order with cash, credit, debit or PayPal and I’ll begin editing and retouching your selection over the next few days.
Receiving Your Images
When I’m finished with your images I’ll send you a link to give your images the final approval, I’ll make any necessary adjustments and then set up your personal gallery app and make preparations for any printed products. Prints and USBs are generally ready for pick up within a few days. Books and custom artwork can take up to 2 weeks.
Any images you purchase from your session will be backed up in my archives. Any images that aren’t purchased at your session are deleted within 30 days.
A Word About Privacy
By default any images we create together are for your eyes only and you decide who you share them with. Unless you express a desire to be included in my public work, I will never share your images with anyone online or in person. Your privacy is very important to me and I take it very seriously.
If you made it all the way to the end that tells me that you are the type of person I’d be very excited to work with. You care about the fine details and you’re willing to put in the effort to find the right photographer for you. In other words, not just any photographer will do. To show my appreciation I want to offer you a complimentary gift with your order. A custom 8×8 piece of art made with multiple layers of resin and acrylic paint and one of your images from our shoot together. These are hand made by me, mounted on wood and every piece is one of a kind. They really need to be seen in person to fully appreciate their depth and detail. Here are some examples of previous pieces I’ve made. Just mention that you made it to the bottom when you get in touch with me and I’ll know what you mean 😉
Thank you for taking the time to check out my work. Use the form below to get in touch with me if you have more questions or you’re ready to get the ball rolling. Looking forward to talking with you.
